Well I really don’t like the amount of participation I’ve been putting into photography, and creating content for this blog. I hope to be doing some cool events this summer, so expect to see some coverage from those events. I may try some video, since I’ve been wanting to try it out. Since I’ll be staying down in Monterey this summer, I really want to work on bringing everything to the next level. Also, can’t wait to get some rolls of film back from being developed.
Go out and have some fun, but be sure to stop and enjoy the things that surround you. We often have tunnel vision in our day to day lives. As a professor once told me, “Take the time at least once a day to look up at the sky, marvel at the lives we lead, and appreciate what we have.”
One more teaser from Rennsport Reunion V this past weekend. I wish I could have stayed longer, but silly me left my camera charger back at home. This resulted in my camera being almost dead when I got there. Hopefully I’ll be better equipped next year.
Just a preview of the Rennsport Reunion V. I’m guessing this team started their weekend off pretty poorly. It was funny to see how quickly they covered the car, it was only moments of the car reaching the team tent. More Porsche awesomeness to come as I finish editing through all of them.
Decided to take a drive down the coast to Big Sur, and to the McWay Falls. I had been meaning to do this for a while now, but wish I would have gone later in the day. With the high sun shining down, it was hard to get nice looking pictures. Next time I go down, it’ll be during the sunset so hopefully there won’t be as many people around. It was nice to cruise down Highway 1 with the windows down and the sea air blowing past my face. Nothing is much better than a nice sunny day, green hills, and a cool breeze.
It’s nice to just stop in the fog and listen to the silence. The dense air creates a sort of blanket around your body.
Getting my prints back from developing a roll of film is one of the best parts of shooting film. Since I am now down in Monterey, I chose a local photography shop to take my film. They definitely did not disappoint, since I was not happy with some of the quality of another place I previously took some film to.
It’s always fun to explore new places, and Monterey is full of those places. Plus I can try out some new photo techniques.
