It’s nice to finally get back to writing entries for the blog. Trying to juggle school, work, and social life has been such a priority for me that I had to take an involuntary break from the blog. Anyways…. here’s a quick review on the Asics Gel Lyte III’s that I picked up from Foot Patrol in London. For about a year now, I’ve been wanting to cop a pair of Gel Lyte III’s but none of the local shoes stores carried them or if they did, they’d be sold out of size 9 immediately.

While shopping around I stopped by this store called Size? and for some reason my eyes immediately went straight to the Gel Lyte’s just the way a missile would lock on to its target. I picked up the shoe with same possessive eyes that Schmiegel had when he saw the Ring. I had immediately asked for my size, and like always they were out. However, the gentlemen helping me was kind enough to call some other shop to check for my size. Boom, they had it!

For about $130, I was impressed with the quality, comfort, and the styling. At first I was apprehensive because of the pink tongue and the loud accents, but I was like “FUCK IT! IM IN EUROPE BITCHES!” (not really). I did not have a single doubt or question in my mind as to whether or not I should purchase them. I asked for my size, got them, and had the cash ready to go.

It has been raining off and on here in Paris and I’ve only had one day to wear these shoes out. In that one day my expectations were surpassed and I can see why they’re in such high demand. Not only are they stylish, but they’re beyond comfortable. I also noticed that the shoe was well ventilated because my feet stayed cool and not stinky after walking in them for about 7+ hours.

My conclusion, get them if you can. They’re the comfiest shoes in my little collection.
